MPK06, a new minipicker for new building yard requirements
The growing family of Jekko minipickers welcomes model MPK06, the new self-propelled electric crane that operates with either hook or manipulator A small machine is a great help while working. This is the promise by the newborn to the Jekko family: the MPK06 minipicker has compact size and limited weight yet it lifts up to 600 kg (1.322 lb) and serves the craft and the industrial sectors. “Model MPK06 is going to set the pace in the world of work – maintains Alessio Forcolin, Italian sales agent at Jekko – The requirements of building yards are evolving: skilled labour isn’t always available in the quantity needed but in the meanwhile loads to be hoisted increase, no matter the sector, be it glazing laying, craft or industry in general. The market was waiting for this new concept of minipickers: compact, lightweight and deploying elevated lifting capacity, and Jekko has met the challenge”. Go to product page   DESIGNED TO OPERATE WITH EITHER HOOK OR MANIPULATOR The MPK06 is the one and only minipicker that – in compliance with the EN13000 standards – has a dual operating mode, with a hook or a vacuum manipulator for glazing laying. Other unique features of this crane are the 360° continuous rotation of the manipulator and the 10° right-and-left electrical rotation of the turret, which moves the load to the sides still having quite a reduced overall size and enabling access to the most confined places. The machine is 100% electrically powered, both during travel and arm operation. It is fitted with a 3kW motor powered by 2 x 12V-155Ah traction batteries for constant performance during use. The electric motor is silent and emission-free for indoor operation; the new electric actuators, whose performance compares that of regular hydraulic cylinders, deliver up to three fast and smooth movements at a time without performance loss. The MPK06 has no hydraulic parts: this means lower maintenance costs and makes the crane ideal for work in the most sensitive contexts since oil leaks are prevented. The manipulator electric rotation and the electric extension of the second boom are available as an option.     EASY TO DRIVE AND OPERATE Easy to use, the MPK06 doesn’t require any specific training to be operated. The convenient drawbar on board the machine makes it easy to drive it; a user-friendly wired remote control is also available, which allows to travel on wheels in a straight line in combination with the mechanical block on the drawbar, making work easier and more accurate for the operator during installation.   The MPK06 is fitted with a simple system of modular and removable counterweights accounting for a total of 200 kg (441 lb). They can be removed whenever the machine has to be hoisted with a crane or moved in a lift so its weight it brought down to as little as 720 kg (1.587 lb).       COMPETITIVE EDGE The unique features of this new minipicker by Jekko make it fit for several sectors. It is ideal not only for glazing laying and for the installation of windows and doors but also for the craft sector, for industrial maintenance and for the hiring business in general. Equipped with sturdy metal sheet housings and off-road run-flat tyres, the MPK06 faces the most challenging yard conditions. For indoor operations white no-marking tyres are available as an option. Compact in size and reduced in weight, this minipicker is ideal to be transported inside a regular van.

JF990: The crawler crane is even more powerful
After the successful JF365 a new, more performing model hits the market and offers superior lifting capacity still within the overall dimensions of a “non-oversized” transport. The crawler crane by Jekko grows up, not in terms of dimensions but rather in performance, capacity and innovation. After the sales success of models JF545 and JF365, Jekko has once again raised the bar and offers a crawler crane featuring all the characteristics of the F990 by Fassi. That’s how the JF990 has been developed: “a winning bet” as declared by Alberto Franceschini, Export Sales Manager Jekko. It’s a real evolution of the species where the traditionally compact dimensions (6,75 x 2,14 x 3,45 metres – 265 ¾ x 122 ½ x 84 ¼ ) combine with increased extension capacity (up to 41 metres – 134 ft), very elevated lifting capacity (max 21.500 kg – 47.400 lb) and advantages in transport.   The JF990 can work vertically or horizontally, it overcomes, goes round, uses the hook or the winch; it can also be equipped with a glass pane manipulator, a 3-person hydraulic platform in case of operation with a double articulated joint, and a 1- or 2-operator basket when using the jib to reach as high as 38 m. The hydraulic activation on the jib allows for any additional option to be installed.   STANDARD AND EXTRA COUNTERWEIGHT This machine can use a 2,1-ton (4.630-lb) standard counterweight for stabilization on an area of 8,5 x 8,5 metres (28 x 28 ft) as well as a 3-ton (6.612-lb) extra counterweight reducing the crane footprint to an area of 7 x 7 metres (23 x 23 ft).  The disassembly system – a fast and automatic quick release system similar to that of much bigger cranes – is managed via the radio remote control.

Always a step ahead
GIS 2019: great interest from renovation, craftsmanship and “green” worlds At the 7th edition of GIS we showcased some new models, among which there were the new mini cranes SPX532 and SPX1280 and the new minipicker MPK06, together with well known and appreciated models such as JF545, SPX424 and SPX312. Among the machinery on display, JF545 crawler crane keeps on raising a lot of interest in those working in the industry. The perfect combination of compact dimensions (5,4 x 1,8 x 2,8 m) and high lifting capacity (15,5 tons) together with a 30 m main boom and the possibility of using man-baskets makes this model one of the most requested by crane operators and rental companies. “During GIS we received a lot of requests regarding small but at the same time powerful cranes. The introduction of regulations in order to limit land consumption and the following increase of renovation works of existing buildings implicate the necessity of working in narrow and hard to reach spaces. Jekko range represents the ideal solution for all those who operate in this type of construction site” highlights Alessio Forcolin, Jekko Sales Manager for Italy. According to a report recently released by Sogeea Study Centre about urban regeneration in Italy, renovation works are worth approximately 17% of Italian GDP. This data emphasises the increasingly central role of this sector compared to the one of new constructions. “When talking about maintenance and renovation works, especially in urban areas, JF545 is second to none” Alessio Forcolin concludes. Lithium battery-powered cranes also stood out among the other models displayed, including the new SPX532. “Jekko was the first mini crane manufacturer to invest in eco-friendly technology of lithium batteries, which allow longer work cycles with consistent performance” Alessio Forcolin explains. Compared to the traditional ones, lithium batteries have a longer charge duration (up to 10 hours) with fast charging time and a service life up to 10 years. A lot of interest, especially in the craftsmanship world, was generated by minipicker MPK06 thanks to the possibility of working whether in pick & carry mode with hook or glass manipulator. The machinery, full electric, is the only minipicker with rotation of the main column (+/- 15°), has a maximum capacity of 600 kg and performs up to 3 movements simultaneously. Being part of the Made In Italy excellences at GIS makes us once again proud of the growth path done in these years and pays back the constant investment in the research of cutting-edge solutions. All of this wouldn’t be possible without the precious discussions with those who daily work on site in any condition and want to win all challenges.

SPX532: A New Generation of Mini Cranes
With the SPX532, the mini crane is even more intuitive and high performing Introducing SPX532, the new model of Jekko mini crane that marks a sea change between the old and new design system. A more intuitive, cutting edge and easy to use mini crane The Jekko mini crane “grows up” and takes a brand new direction in which concepts such as simplicity, immediacy, performance and efficiency come together in the same machine. We are talking about the new SPX532 – developed by the Italian company, an international leader in the mini crane sector – that incorporates important innovations such as a cutting-edge stabilising system, a sophisticated electronic and hydraulic system, greater ease of use, increased lifting capacity, an updated design and a new and user friendly radio remote control. The new SPX532 project is the result of having listened to the precise needs of an increasingly large and continuously evolving market, that of special lifting – explains Jekko Export Manager Alberto Franceschini – Our pioneering experience gained over twenty years in the mini crane sector, combined with comprehensive knowledge of the truck-mounted crane sector, has allowed Jekko to develop a product that combines sophisticated solutions used in the world of mobile cranes with the simplicity and sturdiness typical of truck-mounted cranes. The SPX532 signals a very important change in direction in the design and creation of new products, which will inevitably impact on the development of future products. Machines that are not only innovative and sophisticated as they were in the past, but also easy to use and available to an increasingly wide customer base. The result is the most intuitive mini crane of all time, able to guarantee high level performance. The largest mini crane in its segment able to pass through a single door, it offers substantial lifting capacity in relation to its weight, dimensions and stabilization area. Important new features include the 1 tonne hydraulic jib, the maximum height of which, at 17.3 metres, can be compared to that of a higher category of crane, and an updated design with more sophisticated and resistant materials, so a column reinforced with two pistons and a sump that are no longer in fibreglass but in steel.   NEW PERFORMANCE LEVELS The SPX532 stands out for its maximum lifting capacity of 3.2 tonnes. The biggest new feature is the possibility to lift using both the hookblock and hoist method. The stability system has been updated so that slewing goes from 0° to 90° for each outrigger (previously 0° to 45°); it is also possible to adjust outrigger tilting angle. This allows for more stabilization areas and more work areas, allowing the crane to work in conditions that would never have been possible before, all thanks to a sophisticated yet simple sensor system. NEW JIB POSITION The position of the resting jib is initially found inside the column, the jib easily installed thanks to an innovative hooking system. This means a significant reduction in jib installation and disassembly times. The operator can therefore decide to store the jib in three ways, the jib either at rest on the column, on the ground or resting under the main arm. The first two ways allow the operator to work with the main arm, the last with the jib installed, with the great advantage of not having to put it to rest until the work is finished (as was necessary with the previous versions). Thanks to a double pump, the jib also allows for simultaneous use of both the extension and angle functions, for greater flexibility and precision.

BAUMA 2019: Innovation and Green Solutions
New products and technologies will be on display to showcase the increasingly innovative, green and user-friendly corporate range Three years after the last show, Jekko will be again an exhibitor at the Bauma expo with the aim of telling a brand new story where new products and technologies play the leading role. The director is the same: a young company whose target has always been the “active listening to customers” while implementing effective technologies and craftsmanship on a new range of products that increasingly turns innovative, green and user-friendly. Jekko’s exhibiting area – FS open-air area, stand 903/6 – will cover 512 square metres and will showcase all the new products of the Jekko world: the new JF990, the hybrid version of model SPX1280HYB, the full electric lithium-battery SPX532, just to mention a few; as for minipickers, the MPK06 and the MPK12 are a breakthrough in the sector of indoor building yards; the new and user-friendly interface of Jekko radio remote controls and the innovative J-Connect telemetry system for all the new Jekko mini cranes. Bauma will be the launching pad for a new merchandising line that will include a little showcase with products for sale, such as a scale reduction of a Jekko machine. A J-Connect area will be set up for dealers and visitors to meet and analyse the concepts of telemetry and user interface.   NEW PRODUCTS MINI SPIDER CRANES  The flagship model will be the SPX532 with a full electric lithium-battery motor. Also available with a diesel engine, the SPX532 is an ideal crane for indoor operation and for all those activities requiring a machine as little as to go through a single door. This mini crane is equipped with geometric control system and easier-friendly software designed in-house that make the operator’s work simpler. The Jekko radio remote control also has new features: a more user-friendly interface for easy and intuitive management of the countless options as well as automatic and fast functions for simpler operations. Jekko will also focus on the first hybrid version of a mini crane: the SPX1280HYB. This latter is the evolution of the SPX1275: it features a maximum load capacity increased from 7,500 to 8,000 kg and new hydraulic systems. With a 3-extension hydraulic JIB, the SPX1280 is one of Jekko’s most popular mini cranes. On Jekko’s stand at the Bauma expo there will also be an SPX312 and an electric lithium-battery SPX424, traditional models of the company.   JF SERIES Most of the show will be stolen by model JF990, which will be launched on the market as an evolution of the most successful JF545 and JF365. The new JF is a further generation of the previous models in the JF line that pioneers a new hoisting concept of articulated crane: the traditional truck-loader crane becomes a crawler crane. The JF990 is the world’s largest mini crane featuring a loading capacity of as much as 100 ton/m and, despite its dimensions, a weight not exceeding 23 tons. The machine can be equipped with a counterweight that raises the weight to 28 tons and, similarly to model JF545, it can work in both horizontal and vertical position, it can pass or dodge an obstacle, and it can operate in hook or winch more or with a selflevelling platform. In addition to model JF990, a JF40 will be on display in Jekko’s stand at the Bauma expo while a JF545 will be presented at Fassi’s stand (FN 926/2).   MINIPICKERS & TELE-CRAWLER CRANE During the Bauma expo Jekko will showcase the new models MPK06 and MPK12 having a 600-kg and 1,200-kg load capacity respectively. Both machines are equipped with 4 wheels instead of 3 and special tyres can be fitted for off-road operation. These pick&carry minipickers are the first having 100% electric actuators and those on display at the Bauma expo will be fitted with manipulators designed for handling and laying of glass panes. Finally, the SPK60 will also be present at Bauma: a tele-crawler crane with 6 ton of maximum capacity  and 3 tons of pick & carry.   VACUUM Building on its corporate experience in the glass handling sector and first worldwide in fitting vacuum manipulators to mini cranes, Jekko is going to unveil a new series of vacuum lifters for flat and curved glass panes. These vacuum lifters have a double pump with blow-off function for easier release.   J-CONNECT – TELEMETRY Jekko has invested on bidirectional connectivity for Internet connection of the mini cranes. Remote monitoring and assistance are available via a dedicated portal. This system is applicable to the JF series and to the traditional mini crane range.

SPK60 Wins LLEAP Award as Innovative Crane
On December 3rd, Lift and Access magazine declared the winners of the 13th annual Leadership in Lifting Equipment and Aerial Platforms (LLEAP) Awards, which recognized our SPK60 tele-crawler as the most innovative crane in the lifting and access industry. We are thrilled to receive this award assigned by an expert panel of judges who evaluated the entries and rated the products based on innovative features and technology, perceived value, productivity, and overall benefit to the industry. A GLANCE AT SPK60 SPK60 was born as a telescopic boom crawler crane with cab to be used mainly in confined and difficult spaces where millimeter-level precision and controlled movements are required. This formula turned out to be a great success, giving the market something it was missing. GO TO PRODUCT PAGE   Guaranteeing extraordinary performances and a great feeling with the operator, the SPK60 is suitable for both precision maneuvers in tight and enclosed spaces and for pick&carry operations on rough terrain. This is why SPK60 can be exploited in interior spaces by taking advantage of jibs and radio remote control and also in large construction sites with the operator in the cabin, keeping the tracks extended an thus increasing the lifting capacity compared to similar machines. The software allows electronically controlling the crane directly from the radio remote control unit provided, where all the working data is displayed in real time. The crane is also equipped with extendible tracks without stabilizers, capable of lifting up to 3 tonnes in Pick&Carry mode and 6 tonnes in static mode. Different jibs and tools are available and completely integrated with the machine: the operator can assemble and disassemble components and accessories on its own. The mini-crane is extremely easy to transport and is only 5.8 metres long, which makes it easy to unload from the body of a truck.

Light and powerful: the new JF365
Following the success of the JF545, the market debut of a new, even more competitive, better performing and lighter model, thanks to the absence of a counterweight. The innovative and revolutionary drive of Jekko shows no signs of stopping, and following the commercial success of the JF545, the market sees the arrival of the new JF365. A model which re-interprets the concept of its “big sister”, but sets new challenges in terms of performance, compact size, multiple applications and versatility. The JF365 represents a further evolution of the species: it is even more competitive in terms of compactness and performance, thanks to the absence of a counterweight. Following the success of the JF545 – explained Alberto Franceschini, Sales Manager for Jekko – we decided to maintain the same format and the same configuration, substituting the crane element with one of Fassi’s best sellers, the F365, which operates in the same way as the 545 but without a removable counterweight, resulting in a more compact and lighter crane while offering the same performance. The reduced weight and dimensions allow the JF365 to operate in tight spaces such as town centres, in the industrial sector, for fittings in restricted work-site areas or in particular lifting situations close to walls, as rotation is confined to the area of the machine, without the bulk of the counterweight. The JF365 has a fixed base with a load capacity of 3 tons. It offers the same options as the JF545: Proportional radio controller, hydraulic activation for accessories, stability control with infinite possibilities for stabilisation, 1 smaller and lighter jib which allows for the installation of a platform on the main arm.   GO TO PRODUCT PAGE   Range of use The JF365 is a crane which can work either horizontally or vertically, overcoming and working around obstacles, with the use of either the hook or the winch. It is also possible to use a manipulator for sheets of glass, and either a 3-person hydraulic platform used with dual articulation or a 2-person basket with the jib, for heights of up to 29 metres. The hydraulic activation of the jib allows for the installation of any additional option. Super accessibility in tight spaces The founding concept is the bringing to the ground of equipment which is usually mounted on a truck. This allows for increased accessibility and a reduction in size, with a significant positive impact on logistics. It is therefore possible to transport and use an articulated crane in all areas which cannot be accessed by a truck, such as: industrial areas, town centres with narrow streets, fenced parks, etc. Infinite lifting possibilities Jekko has developed software which allows for the stabilisation of the crane via infinite combinations. Each stabiliser can be set as desired in terms of angle and extension. One of four stability levels is automatically calculated according to the position of the stabilisers and the consequential tipping axis, with 1 being the lowest level of stability and 5 the highest, with reference to four different classes of pressure One crane – one operator The crane can be managed entirely by a single operator thanks to the use of a radio controller, which is effectively an extension of the machine that is always within reach. This allows the operator to carry out all operations in complete autonomy: activation/deactivation, crane manoeuvres, stabilisation, jib integration. Motor: both diesel and electric The JF365 has both a 55 kW Kubota diesel engine, and a 13 kW three-phase electric motor. According to the situation and to requirements, the operator can easily switch between one or the other with considerable flexibility, for either internal or external use. Competitive advantages Such a versatile crane can be used in the most varied of situations: special lifting conditions, fitting operations in restricted work site spaces (beams, mezzanines, glass, air conditioning systems, etc.) or in industrial areas (machinery of varied size), maintenance and servicing. It is the perfect machine for companies which specialise in lifting, integrating an existing fleet of truck-mounted articulated cranes and city cranes, as well as for companies specialised in the rental of equipment with or without an operator. It is ideal for those specialising in niche operations, with high and extremely particular demands, but is suitable in general for all those wishing to exploit the typical advantages offered by an articulated crane in areas which are inaccessible for a truck. In general, the market demands smaller machines which offer the same lifting capacities as their larger counterparts, for obvious reasons of cost, potential, logistics, maintenance and ease of use. The new JF365 was created for this very reason. We will be launching this crane on the German, Scandinavian and central European markets, naturally without neglecting Italy – explained Franceschini – The JF365, and the JF545 before it, are cranes which are a great source of pride for us, as on an industrial level we were the first to introduce this revolution to the market and now many brands in the crawler market are following in our wake. This means that we have chosen the right direction, obviously following the philosophy of Made in Italy.   JEKKO JF365 characteristics Overall dimensions: w 1.8 m, l 5.5 m, h 2.7 m Maximum lifting capacity: 11.5 tons Weight: 12,300 kg + 700 (jib) Motor: 55.4 kW Kubota diesel + 13 kW three-phase electric motor Maximum height (with Jib): 29 m (cap. 550 kg) Maximum outreach (with Jib): 26.5 m (cap. 365 kg) Rotation: 360°
